About Us

Our commitment to science

Sharing scientific knowledge, disseminating it and collaborating to find solutions that improve people’s lives.
According to the Fondazione Menarini, these are the steps we must take to accompany the progress of science. Since its establishment in 1976, the Fondazione has had a mission: to promote research and disseminate shared knowledge, both in the medical field and in the humanities. An active and innovative co-participation made possible thanks to its own activities and carried out through multiple instruments.

This is a true online and multimedia library totally free and accessible to anyone.
To further our knowledge of Coronavirus, we have published more than 3.000 scientific publications, but we have not stopped there!
In fact, the initial project of building a library on Coronavirus has been transformed and expanded.
Today our scientific library covers 8 therapeutic areas Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Pneumology, Pain Medicine, Microbiology & Infectious Diseases, Oncology & Haematology, Psychiatry, Gastroenterology.
The library was initiated thanks to the collaboration with two of the most prestigious and renowned publishing houses: Elsevier and BMJ.
The selection of the articles we offer is made in consultation with important institutions and high-level professors.

FACE TO FACE WITH NOBEL PRIZE WINNERS: DISCUSSIONS, EXPERIENCES OF LIFE AND SCIENCE, JUST A CLICK AWAY

Project Dialogs beyond borders offers short video interviews with Nobel Prize winners and international scientists. These are informal interviews to get to know the professional and personal history of world-renowned figures in the Life Sciences scene. Moderated by a science journalist, the healthcare professionals talk about how they achieved their scientific and medical goals, also reflecting on moments in their lives.

We had the pleasure of seeing no less than 18 Nobel Prize winners including Louis Ignarro, Nobel Prize winner in Physiology and Medicine, Donna Strickland, Nobel Prize winner in Physics, is a revolutionary in the specific field of lasers but also Tasuku Honjo, winner of the Nobel Prize in Medicine for his research into exploiting how to use the immune system’s weapons to stop tumors s from advancing progression, and Barry Marshall, Nobel Prize winner in Medicine and Physiology, who discovered the role of Helicobacter Pylori in ulcers after running experimenting directly on himself.

The initiative was so successful that it is still ongoing. So get ready to find out the next Nobel prize winners we will interview!
