The 'Dialogs beyond borders' project offers a video account of the experiences of Nobel Prize winners and international scientists. These short, informal video interviews are an online tool for learning about the professional and personal history of international figures of the Life Sciences. Moderated by a science journalist, the personalities in the Gallery talk about how they achieved their scientific goals, also through moments in their lives. Louis Ignarro, Nobel Prize winner in Physiology and Medicine, describes his curiosity in learning English as the son of Italians. Then there is Donna Strickland, Nobel Prize winner in Physics, a revolutionary in the specific field of lasers and 'heir' to the prize, which was awarded to another woman before her, Marie Curie. Tasuku Honjo, winner of the Nobel Prize in Medicine for his research into how to use the immune system's weapons to stop tumours from advancing, explains why his studies on immunotherapy, conducted together with his colleague James Allison, are considered a milestone in the fight against cancer.
