Responsibility

Klasse 2000

Children in Germany study health and wellbeing at school: from proper nutrition to the importance of physical activity, from relaxation exercises to conflict and stress management and the risks of tobacco and drug use. These are some of the topics addressed by primary school pupils thanks to Klasse2000, one of the healthcare education projects that Berlin-Chemie Menarini has been supporting for years.

The educational programme, which was launched in 1991 and has become a real institution in Germany, promotes a healthy and active life, while also teaching self-criticism, self-love and the ability to get along well with others. To date, more than 2 million children have met Klaro, the Klasse2000 mascot, a smiley that turns on like a light bulb and helps young children experience, through play, just how much fun it is to live healthily.
