1,500 new trees planted in the Philippines

The tropical forests of the Philippines are considered its main tourist attraction, as well as a cornerstone in the promotion of sustainable development. Despite this, massive deforestation has led to the destruction of much of this environmental asset in the past. Efforts have been unsuccessful in halting the assault on these natural resources, which is continued in order to obtain firewood, produce charcoal and expand arable land area. Aware of the importance of protecting these precious forests, Menarini Philippines has contributed to a project to plant new trees in collaboration with the Forest Management Bureau, which provided support in picking out the best positions for them. In total, it has planted 1,500 seedlings, which will grow into the same number of trees in one of the world’s richest and most fascinating ecosystems.
