ESC Congress 2026

Cardiovascular diseases remain the leading challenge of modern medicine, claiming an estimated 19.8 million lives lost in 2022.¹ As the world's population ages, the impact of these conditions is projected to rise significantly over the coming decades, with the global cardiovascular mortality expected to increase to 35.6 million deaths in 2050.² Addressing a medical urgency of this scale requires more than conventional clinical excellence; it demands collective action to transform cutting-edge research into tangible, equitable solutions for patients.

Munich as the Epicenter of Transformation: "Together we will"

From August 28th to 31st, the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Congress 2026 will transform Munich into the global capital of cardiovascular innovation.³ Under the inspiring theme "Together we will," this gathering will unite the international medical community with a shared purpose: to break down the barriers of current medicine and redefine the future of heart care.³
While the congress offers an expansive view of the latest cardiovascular research, several pivotal themes stand out as key scientific and technological frontiers to watch:

New ESC Guidelines: the event is set to release the latest global recommendations for treating heart failure and managing the complex cardiorenal axis,⁴ providing healthcare professionals with the most up-to-date, evidence-based tools.⁴
The Cardiometabolic Frontier: while early, intensive, and sustained control of LDL-cholesterol remains a fundamental pillar in managing atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease,⁵ this year's focus aims to dismantle traditional therapeutic silos. A dedicated scientific track will examine how dyslipidaemia directly intersects with obesity, diabetes, and hypertension.⁴
Artificial Intelligence as a Partner in Clinical Practice: AI has evolved from a future promise into an intelligent partner in a physician's daily practice.³,⁴ The congress will explore how responsible technological innovation is enhancing precision, speed, and safety across critical areas like ECG interpretation, advanced imaging, and complex risk prediction.³,⁴

Menarini Group’s Commitment: Driving Medical Progress

At Menarini, our presence at the ESC Congress 2026 reflects a long-standing commitment to cardiovascular health. We take part by contributing to the scientific exchange and supporting dialogue on the areas where care can be improved.
If you are attending the congress, we invite you to add to your agenda the sessions hosted within our space on August 29th and 30th. Renowned international experts will share transformative insights focused on:

● The Forgotten Fraction: Tackling Residual Risk in high- very high CV patients;
● Prevention of ACVD: focus on lipid lowering
● Unmet Needs in Dyslipidemia

The global burden of cardiovascular disease remains substantial. Continued progress in predictive science, medical innovation and collaboration is essential to improving outcomes for cardiovascular health.
See you in Munich!
