Solidarity for patients with a cleft lip

Every year, in Asia, over 100.000 children are born with a cleft lip, a V-shaped malformation that affects the lower part of the palate to varying degrees. A condition that can cause problems with food intake as well as mental health problems, isolation and economic difficulties.

Through the Smile Asia charity, Menarini Asia Pacific helps patients in the region affected by cleft palates by contributing towards the financing of surgical interventions to correct this congenital defect. Art jamming is just one of the many fund-raising activities that we have sponsored in which our employees donate works of art they have created to a company-wide auction. Thanks to this initiative, almost 14.000 dollars have been raised to allow about 28 children to undergo an operation to regain their smile.
