PRESS RELEASE - “CARAVAGGIO. L’OPERA COMPLETA” Presentation of the volume on Caravaggio by Rossella Vodret, to be presented by Maurizio Calvesi and Ma

The Menarini Group, in collaboration with Silvana Editoriale, has the pleasure of inviting you to the presentation of the volume: "CARAVAGGIO. THE COMPLETE WORKS" by Rossella Vodret, Superintendent of the State Museum Complex of the city of Rome, scholar and expert on the works of Michelangelo Merisi, commonly known as Caravaggio, the artist renowned as the greatest genius of seventeenth century painting. 

THE BOOK WILL BE PRESENTED ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 29TH, 2010, AT 18.00 AT THE FORMER CHURCH OF SANTA MARTA IN ROME BY PROFESSOR MAURIZIO CALVESI, ACADEMIC AT THE ‘ACCADEMIA DEI LINCEI’, AND MARCO CARMINATI, JOURNALIST FOR THE ‘IL SOLE 24 ORE’ FINANCIAL NEWSPAPER. THE AUTHOR SHALL ALSO BE PRESENT. 

The event is sponsored by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, the Municipality of Rome, the Province of Rome, and the Lazio Region.
The volume carries on the more than forty-year tradition of the Menarini Group, a company which has always been attentive to man’s highest artistic and cultural expressions and which has always distinguished itself on both the Italian and International economic and cultural landscape. 

The presentation will be followed by a guided tour of the archaeological remains housed in the undercroft of the former church of Santa Marta.
