Badalona is the home of Menarini Spain. In the third largest city in Catalonia – headquarters of our affiliate in the country – there is a long, golden beach. Here many people have the habit of playing sports and spending time walking along the rambla by the sea.

This is also one of the reasons why Menarini participated in the Badalona cardio-protected city project, in collaboration with the Brudada Foudation, Association of Pharmacies of Barcelona, Generalitat de Catalunya and the College of Pharmacists of Barcelona. Thanks to our teamwork, today 26 pharmacies in the city centre now provide anyone in need with a state-of-the-art portable defibrillator. An essential resource in dealing with cardiac emergencies, these life-saving devices are scattered at various points around the city perimeter. In this way pharmacies become even more fundamental places of prevention. Our motto? Always be protected.
