The Initiatives of A. Menarini Diagnostics and Menarini Guatemala. A free check-up to fight diabetes.

In many European countries, including France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and Greece, under the banner of A. Menarini Diagnostics, we make donations in favour of foundations and associations involved in treating diabetic patients, in addition to taking part in nationwide events organised to foster the prevention of diabetes.
Glucometers for measuring blood sugar levels together with medical examinations are provided free of charge to citizens who agree to evaluative screenings.

Menarini OTC has also taken a leading role in innovative projects to promote health in the population, frequently held in public areas and spaces.
For example “Pasos y Pedales” (Walking and Pedalling) was an initiative promoted by the City Council of Guatemala City and took place every Sunday throughout the year 2010 in many of the most crowded streets of the city centre. On these occasions Menarini gave out free information on health issues and invited passers-by to try out some physical exercise as an integral part of a healthy lifestyle, offering them a free 20-minute “spinning” session with the supervision of a professional trainer.
