The first historic factory of Menarini Group, where the first pharmaceutical formulations have been developed and then produced, is in Florence.
Following a reorganization of the production sites, this plant in Florence produces sterile solutions (ampoules and lyophilized products) for all European and extra-European markets. Gels are the other pharmaceutical form produced here and exported worldwide, mostly with the brand name FASTUM.

The other factory in the Florence area is specialized in the production of beta-lactam antibiotics for the European and extra-European markets. Due to the highly specialized kind of production, this is a strategic site for the needs of Menarini Group.

The factory in L’Aquila, equipped with the most modern technologies for the production of oral solid forms (capsules, tablets and coated tablets) produces for the domestic and for the European market.

|
The factory in Barcelona is highly specialized in the production of oral solid forms (capsules, tablets and granules for sachets) and topical forms for the domestic market; it also produces for the Latin American countries.

|
The factory in Berlin , which became part of Menarini Group during the early 90s, certainly represents the most significant production site of the Group: it has 550 employees and a production capacity of over 300 million units a year. The pharmaceutical forms produced here are oral solids, oral liquids, suppositories and parenteral preparations and they mainly supply the markets of Central Europe, East Europe and Asia.

Finally, the factory in Istanbul produces a wide range of products both for the domestic market and the Middle East area countries: all pharmaceutical forms are produced here; oral solids and oral liquids, topical forms (both gels and creams), parenteral preparations and sterile ampoules.

The Group’s manufacturing network also includes two "fine chemistry" plants in Pisa and Lomagna (Lecco), where active principle ingredients are produced for the Group’s pharmaceutical factories and for the market. The two plants have been approved by the United States regulatory body (FDA, Food and Drug Administration).

Dresden (Germany) plant became part of the Menarini Group in 2006, with Menarini Von Heyden. The plant is entirely dedicated to the manufacturing and packaging of oral solid products.
