HELPING PATIENTS TAKE CONTROL
Menarini has created a new, easy to use personal blood glucose meter which can monitor and analyse up to 350 results stored in the meter's memory in addition to logging the time and date of each test. The GlucoMen PC meter will perform an automatic control of the last 15 measurements and then calculates the average of these 15 readings. The meter also allows you to set two blood glucose levels (minimum and maximum) so that a visual alarm is displayed when the average value of the last 15 readings goes beyond the set range. These visual alarms are shown by an arrow pointing up or down to indicate either a rise or fall to the target high and low values set in the meter's memory.
All of these features will enable you to understand your patients needs more easily. Blood glucose results stored in the memory of the meter can be also be downloaded and processed by using Dialogue Software (a software package which is supplied separately).

The GlucoMen PC combines great looks with simplicity, to produce a system, which makes blood glucose testing both easy to teach and use. It is ergonomically styled with the latest look, reliable and is small enough to be really discreet.
The system is designed to perform blood glucose testing using a tiny amount of blood in a very simple procedure. The GlucoMen Sensors are electrochemical strips, which draw blood into the target area by capillary fill. It should be noted that the GlucoMen Sensors operate both the GlucoMen PC and the GlucoMen Glyco. Once a test has been performed, the Sensor can be expelled by pressing the ejector button on the reverse of the meter, thus preventing any contact being made with the blood on the strip.
