PERFORMING A BLOOD GLUCOSE TEST
|
|
|
1) Wash your hands using soap and warm water. Rinse and dry them thoroughly. Take a Test Sensor from the container and recap immediately.
|
|
|
2) Insert the Test Sensor into the sensor inlet of the Meter. Wait for calibration (F-) to appear in the display.
|
|
|
3) Prick finger using lancing device to obtain blood.
|
|
|
4) Touch the Target Area at the end of the Test Sensor with the blood sample. (Blood drawn into the sensor by capillary action).
|
|
|
5) Keep finger on Test Sensor until the strip is full of blood. You will hear a beep, only withdraw your finger when the strip is full of blood.
|
|
|
6) After 30 seconds your blood glucose level will appear on the display.
|
|
METER CALIBRATION Calibration is only required if the meter is displaying a different F-number to the sensors which you are using.
|
|
|
1) Take out a Test Sensor from the container and recap immediately.
|
|
|
2) Insert the Test Sensor into the Sensor inlet of the Meter. Wait for calibration (F-) to appear in the display.
|
|
|
3) Press and hold the Function button for 4 seconds and then release. Press the function button several times until you have selected the appropriate calibration number. Release the button and wait for 5 seconds.
|
|
|
4) Ensure that the calibration number displayed corresponds with the number on the Test Sensor container.
