System Description

GlucoDay® S is an innovative system developed by Menarini Diagnostics Research for continuous monitoring of subcutaneous glucose levels in people with diabetes over a period of 48 hours.

GlucoDay® S is the first system utilising "microdialysis" to obtain the CE mark under the Medical Device Directive. This is a prerequisite for the marketing of a medical device in the European Union. See Press release below.

GlucoDay® S is a professional device to be used by qualified and trained medical staff and is specifically designed for clinical or diagnostic investigations in people with diabetes.

GlucoDay® S is classified as a Medical Device, Class IIA.
