The year 2011 marks the 125th anniversary of the founding of Menarini. Menarini began its research activities in 1978, building from scratch its scientific know-how (knowledge) and drug development abilities (the skills). Thanks to this dedication and commitment, in the 1990’s it began registering its new drugs for the treatment of cardiovascular disease, infectious disease, and pain. Today Menarini has over 700 employees in Research and Development. Along this continuing journey, Menarini has welcomed many young Italian researchers who, unable to find career solutions in public research, would have otherwise contributed to the country’s brain drain.
